Clinical Internship (Master’s or Doctoral level) Anchorage Child and Family Continuum

Master's or Doctoral track Clinical Internship with the Child and Family Continuum at ACMHS is a structured clinical experience conducted in collaboration with approved graduate programs in psychology, social work and professional counseling.  Clinical interns receive individual and group clinical supervision and gain clinical experience in therapeutic services, including mental health assessment, individual, family and group therapies programs providing evidence-based practices.  The Child and Family Continuum at ACMHS serves young childhood, children, adolescents, transition age youth and families.  We also provide clinical services to parents.  ACMHS is a National Child Traumatic Stress Network Site and a training hub for early child mental health, trauma treatment, and family therapy services.  We offer a dynamic training experience across our specialty programs, Little Tykes Early Childhood Therapeutic Services, The Alaska Child Trauma Center/Child and Family Services Clinic, Parenting with Love and Limits (Structural Strategic Family Therapy) and Transition Age Youth Services (Alaska Youth Advocates and Alaska Seeds of Change). Individuals interested in an internship must complete the Internship Application and supply a resume and unofficial transcripts to be considered for placement.
