Clinician - IDP (Anchorage)

Full-time position providing assessment & treatment services to culturally diverse clients with severe & persistent mental illness. Treatment program targets individuals who have been chronically hospitalized and/or incarcerated.  Services include day treatment/structured programming & support aimed at increasing client's life skills & ability to function in the community.  Position will provide psychosocial assessments; treatment & discharge planning; individual, group & crisis intervention; clinical monitoring of case managers, oversight of client care; & applications for court-ordered mental status exams. Will work as part of a multidisciplinary team w/external treatment providers. Requires Master' degree in Psychology or Social Work with mental health focus plus one year's experience and ability to develop & maintain satisfactory working relationships, written & verbal communication skills, & sensitivity to the needs of the population. Substance abuse experience and CDC preferred. Requires use of personal vehicle, proof of Alaska vehicle insurance & clean driving record. Computer skills required. Salary range is $59,767 to $77,348 for licensed Clinicians and $51,176 to $66,229 for unlicensed Clinicians.
